I’m calm. I’m on time. I have a variety of books, zines, and prints that people (thankfully) seem to want. I have all ages content, and some mature work that I (ironically) wrote when I was a teenager. The mature content is mature in text, not image, labeled with a trigger warning and is kept out of hands of young readers. I keep it on the table because it has been a positive impact on people going through a hard time like I was once upon a time. This short inspirational comic follows my journey from failing English in 3rd grade to the release of my debut graphic novel, Cloud Town. First published for free on The Comics Beat website as a six-part web series, this behind-the-scenes peek into my cartoonist's journey is meant as a resource to encourage and inspire young creators who struggle in school and thank a few of the many family members, educators, and professionals that guided me on my journey.
