I was about to crop this, but I wanted to post it somewhere with the cool splotches around the border.
Top of the Line issue 8 is totally done. I’ll be sending it around to publishers soon. If I find someone to do a trade with me I’ll probably add an extra chapter or two (exciting eh?).
I’m turning 27 tomorrow and I have a big year ahead of me. I recently got a big grant from the Pittsburgh Foundation and Heinz Endowments to work on my next big book (working title: Cloud Town), which will be two books with interviewing plots, one prose novel and one graphic novel. The story will be serialized online as a single hybrid piece that takes place in an alternate present, deviating from our own when the atomic bomb dropped by American forces blows up all of Asia, not just Hiroshima, Japan.
Besides the new work and pitching Top of the Line around, A Film About Billy is sold out so I’ll need to find a way to reprint it, Nate and I will be full throttle on Bears in Space again soon, and I’m trying to book a national lecture tour for the winter.
I’m considering looking for an agent. Might make all this a little easier.
